Tattersalls Hotel

My wife has worked in professional kitchens her whole life and she says that the roasted vegetables that we were served today were the best that she’s ever tasted. The food we bought was inexpensive - possibly about 30-40% less than what we’ve paid for similar food in Sydney pubs. This pub is conveniently located near Penrith’s CBD. Good atmosphere. Friendly staff. Our table wasn’t cleaned when we arrived. Parking located next door. Bus stop is located just outside the hotel.

This pub consistently hires egomaniacs. The place is always nearly empty, yet the bar staff act like authoritarians to patrons. Their arrogance would make you believe that you're at a busy city night club. They only care about gamblers. Miserable bar staff with no social skills who make you feel like a burden when you need to order a drink. Tables are always sticky. Go elsewhere.

Bar staff were fantastic, service with a smile. The security and certain wait staff were overly aggressive and threatening. I would avoid this place like the plague, you don't need that aggravation on a good night out.

I was really looking forward to eating here, but it was a letdown. The sign said you'd open at 11:30, yet the doors were still closed at noon. I waited around with no acknowledgment from staff and no explanation for the delay. Eventually, I left and found somewhere better. If you're running late, at least communicate it's the bare minimum.” Didn’t get to try the food.

Great pub in Penrith. Went back down to our old stomping ground in Penrith to see what we could find on a Friday night. We stumbled across - Tattersalls pub, karaoke night which was a really fun night watching the locals get up and sing. Good beer, not overly crowded, clean and friendly. Had such a great time on Friday night we decided to go back on Saturday for lunch. Staff were friendly and happy, food was amazing, great northern on tap, which we LOVE ❤️ nice cheap feed, especially on a Saturday. Thank you, Tattersalls. We will definitely be back. 👍
