Came here for a dinner celebration since it’s a bit of an Inner West institution, and it definitely lived up to the reputation. The service was absolutely incredible, particularly from one standout waitstaff member who was delightful and positive from the moment we sat down. (Shoutout to the one with the absolutely on-fleck brows and style - sorry, I didn’t catch your name, but you made our night!). The Drinks: Great selection of wines on offer. We opted for a beautiful red from regional NSW which hit the spot. The Food: Mostly excellent. The pear and lettuce salad, chickpea pancake, and miso prawns were all good. The only slight letdown was the beetroot tart. It arrived a bit cold and felt a little stale. It definitely would have been much better served warm. Overall, a fantastic spot for a celebration. Highly recommend!

I recommend this place. The menu is designed for you to share. Typically, as dishes come out, you all have a go on them. If you want quality, you're in the right place. If you want quantity, have sandwich before you get here! It all tastes good, the service is more high end than the surrounding area. So, you pay for that, but it's worth it.

We have been dining at Bloodwood since it opened, well over 10+ years, and happy to say it’s one of the most consistent restaurants in the Inner West. The food is always seasonal, with excellent quality and spot on in terms of flavour. Most recently (table for two) we had a fantastic meal - with the halloumi in filo with honey and lemon, fig and buratta salad, and the Riverina Angus sirloin with chorizo butter and fries being standouts. Also, don’t skimp on dessert - the burnt butter strawberry cake (with yoghurt and mascarpone) is a must. Claire and the team know how to deliver an excellent experience all round. Thanks team, love your work.

Had a fantastic meal with my daughter here! Each plate was beautifully presented and a truly enjoyable culinary experience for really affordable pricing. Staff were gorgeous too! Super friendly, gave us great recommendations and made our experience really enjoyable. Bloodwood is definitely memorable, we will be back next visit to Sydney ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Bloodwood was absolutely exceptional. The food was perfect, truly one of the best meals I’ve had. Every dish came out hot and beautifully timed, and the staff were incredibly attentive, checking in without ever feeling intrusive. A special shout out to Imi, who was an amazing waitress! I can’t wait to recommend Bloodwood to all my friends and come back myself.
