Amazing food and hospitality! Had the lamb kavurma, beyti, and lahmacun — all delicious, but the beyti was the star of the show. Definitely recommend ordering a few dishes to share so you can experience it all! The cosy atmosphere and incredibly kind staff made it even better. We stayed well past closing time and they couldn't have been more welcoming.
Absolutely outstanding from start to finish. This place delivers everything you hope for in authentic Turkish cuisine — beautiful flavours, warm hospitality, stunning presentation and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay for hours. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared, from the fresh bread and dips to the perfectly cooked meats and rich desserts. The Beyti and Ali Nazik were incredible, full of flavour and beautifully balanced, while the baklava and Turkish tea were the perfect ending to the night. What truly sets this restaurant apart is the service. The staff make you feel genuinely welcomed, not just served. There is a warmth and care here that is becoming rare to find. You can tell the owners and team put their heart into every detail, from the décor and music to the quality of ingredients and presentation. Easily one of the best Turkish dining experiences in Sydney and the kind of place you keep coming back to, whether for a casual dinner, family celebration or pre-show meal near the Enmore Theatre. Highly recommended.
Turkish Delight! Fortunately, the restaurant where we usually eat on Enmore Road, before attending a concert at The Enmore Theatre, was closed for renovations!! So we wandered down the street and chose Turkuaz. After scanning the interesting menu, we enquired if a table for two was available, without a booking? Yes, we just snuck in. What followed was simply a sensational meal! We enjoyed garlic prawns, battered cauliflower and cheese and garlic pide. For dessert we really did have Turkish delight that accompanied sensational baklava. Of course, Turkish coffee was a must. The service was so friendly and, despite being very busy, they made time to look after every customer. Turkuaz is a very special place and this was our first visit of what will be many in the future, I am sure. Booking is essential, as many people could not be accommodated who enquired. We had a fantastic meal and highly recommend this delightful restaurant.
We’ve ordered mix mezze platter with Turkish bread , Lahmacun and Adana kebab . Unfortunately non of these dishes were edible . Lahmacun tasted so weird , I assume it’s from the tomato/pepper paste they used , it’s overpowering the taste . They sent 5 different type of mezze’s all of them were taste bland. The Turkish bread was not cooked properly still very doughy and missing salt ! Adana came by itself with weird salad which has Goji berries ??!! They don’t even send flatbread for the Adana . Anyway folks don’t waste your money if you’re looking for Turkish food which tastes like Turkish food.
Cosy place with friendly service but the host was sitting at one of the outdoor tables smoking which is a bit off putting. No one wants to start their meal with the lingering smell of cigarettes. The food wasn't bad but equally, wasn't impressive either. The Adana was somewhat dry and served on stale bread although it did come with a lovely fresh salad. The beef dumplings dish was ok but a little bland. I wouldn't consider the servings good value for the price.
