Lilianfels Park is a park in Katoomba where dog access has not yet been confirmed — it's worth checking before you visit.
Parking here costs $8 for the first hour then $9 for the next. This town is a bloody ripoff, even more expensive (double) parking than Sydney CBD. But the park itself is great otherwise
I often drop in here when I'm a bit early for school pick-up. It's a lovely park and totally underappreciated by locals! Some visitors reviews call the heritage listed faux caves ugly but I think they're just misunderstood ;) They were popular for picniking back in the 40s and 50s! The park as a whole needs some love and the toilet block has been closed for months.
Nice little park to relax for a while or have picnic lunch...lots of benches, shady trees and covered shelters...has good views of mountains...a bit of historical background as well...Road Builders Memorial showing the convicts building Cox Road from Emu Plains, over the mountains and through to Bathurst...it has five statues - two convict labourers, one trooper and two Aboriginal men...parking is paid though
As a part of my Sperm Donation Australia Tour, I stopped by here after seeing the three sisters a cool little park with some statues and huts with toliet amenities.
Lovely place to have lunch here and to rest if you plan to walk to the 3 sisters, like what we did.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
