A short five-minute walk from Milsons Point, this dog-friendly park is a great spot if you want to go on a picnic with your furry friend in tow.  The park is named after physician and welfare worked Mary Booth who did incredible work for women’s rights in the early 1900s. I saw many bush Turkey's. ​Dr Mary Booth Park and Lookout in Kirribilli is, without a doubt, one of Sydney's most spectacular vantage points for viewing the iconic harbour. It offers a tranquil escape with unparalleled views, making it a must-visit for both tourists and locals. ​Breathtaking Views ​The star attraction is the stunning, postcard-perfect panorama. Mary Booth Lookout Reserve is tiny in size and huge in payoff. It is the kind of view that makes coffee taste better and conversations unhurried. What I like here is the balance. There is enough lawn for a throw rug, a couple of benches if you are traveling light, and just enough height above the water to feel special. Early mornings are calm with soft colour on the stone. Late afternoons turn warm and golden, and the lights across the harbour flick on one by one. Photographers set up tripods, couples take engagement shots, and locals sneak in with a book on sunny weekdays. During big nights on the calendar it becomes a sought after vantage, but most of the time it reads as a quiet neighbourhood green with a front row outlook. A few simple tips help. Parking is scarce, so public transport and a short stroll keep things easy. Shade moves around, so bring a hat and water if you plan to settle in. The grass has a slight slope near the edge, which makes flat shoes smarter than sandals. Pack out whatever you bring, keep voices down after dusk and give the residents the same peace you came for. Do that, and you have a small, beautiful spot you will want to return to whenever the weather is kind.

Awesome spot for photoshooting at sunset especially when the sky is clear! A 10 minute walk from the train station, and you'll find this quiet, chill, not touristy place to listen to the waves, feel the breeze, and see the picturesque Sydney harbour view.

Mary Booth Lookout Reserve is a beautiful spot for weddings ceremonies. The fact that you can get both views of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House, makes it a stunning backdrop for photos. As a wedding photographer, I also love how spacious the lawn is, it gives plenty of room for group photos afterward. Plus, it’s more quiet than other popular locations in the same area, which makes the whole experience feel more intimate and relaxed. Highly recommend!
