This spot can be regarded as one of the most iconic views of Sydney harbour. You can get the bridge and the opera house into a single frame. It is no wonder it is popular for weddings. The foreshore is well maintained. It can be accessed easily by bus, train, ferry and car with plenty of 2hr & 4hr metered parking. Alcohol free after 6pm. Extremely crowded on New Years Eve because it's a great venue to watch the fireworks. Great romantic spot for an evening walk. Better put this spot on your bucket list. Lived in the gatekeeper’s cottage here in the late 1960’s. Used to sit out in the garden watching the harbour traffic. So glad to see the Moreton Bay figtree still there. It must be very old surely. The cottage and my time there is a favourite memory.
Captain Henry Waterhouse reserve kirribilli is located on top of Mary Booth lookout reserve. There seems to be many marriage parties 🥳 and photography here. ( luckily not when I was here) this reserve is a short stroll to milsons Point train station and kirribilli village shops and the kirribilli hotel 🏨 its sits behind the Jeffrey street Wharf. It has uninterrupted views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera house. Its short stroll to bradfield Park kirribilli and milsons Point ferry Wharf and luna Park. I took advantage of the location and took photos 📸 of all the above mentioned kirribilli locations . I brought take away pack from kirribilli village shop and sat on seating at Mary booth lookout reserve eat watching the ships 🚢 going past. This is arguably the best uninterrupted views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera house from the north side of Sydney. Worth checking out if only for the selfies or take photos of circular Quay, Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera house.
Beautiful just beautiful The views are really spectacular here if you’re looking for a really nice picnic spot or a wedding or just taking a beautiful walk I highly recommend this place Flowers done by @Crazy About Flowers
A fantastic place to view the Sydney Harbour Annual New Year Firework. The view span from the Botanical Garden to the Harbour Bridge with the Opera House taking centre stage. 2020 New Year is the first time you will need to get ticket to view the event. It’s all worth it as there are better security in place and crowd are at a manageable level. Highly recommended but do go early if you want the prime spot.
